BD Viper LT

Extended genotyping of high-risk HPV (Human Papillomavirus).
- Qualitative detection of 14 high-risk HPV types using multiplex real-time PCR.
- Individual results for HPV genotypes 16, 18, 45, 31, 51, and 52.
- Compact, standalone benchtop instrument.
- Fully automated workflow — DNA extraction, amplification, and detection performed in a single system.
- Sample registration via barcode scanner.
- Pre-prepared reagents — no pre-mixing or preparation required.
- Ability to integrate results with a Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Increased laboratory productivity and flexible testing BD Viper LT improves laboratory efficiency through automation.

- Detection of all 14 HPV types in a single run — without additional reagents or extra laboratory steps.
- Extended genotyping: individual reporting for high-risk HPV types 16, 18, 45, 31, 51, and 52, other high-risk HPV genotypes are reported in grouped results: (33, 58), (35, 39, 68), and (56, 59, 66).
- Targeting the E6/E7 DNA region, which reduces the risk of false-negative results that may occur when targeting the L1 region.
- Internal control: beta-globin to verify sample adequacy.
- Presence of positive (QC+) and negative (QC−) controls in each run.
- Reduced risk of false-positive results due to no cross-reactivity with low-risk HPV types.
Reagents and consumables:
- Ready-to-use format — reduces manual handling, contamination risk, and improves operator safety.
- Room temperature storage — no additional equipment required.
Testing efficiency:
- Hands-on operator time < 15 minutes.
- Capability to produce up to 120 complete results per day.
