M50<\/strong> microbiological analyzer \u2013 a system for the rapid identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of clinically significant bacteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Phoenix M50<\/strong> system for microorganism identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing is rightfully considered the most reliable and fastest system for the phenotypic detection of microorganism resistance to antibiotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Identification<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the primary requirements for optimal patient treatment, infection control, and monitoring the development of antimicrobial resistance is high accuracy in microorganism identification in the shortest possible timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/lmh.kz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1015\" on the use of <strong>45 chromogenic and fluorogenic substrates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No reagent addition or additional testing is required, saving time and money.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Databases on the time-dependent activity of microorganisms ensure high identification accuracy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possibility of use in antibiotic susceptibility mode only in cases where other identification technologies are used (mass spectrometry, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approximately <strong>400 taxa<\/strong>: Gram-negative, Gram-positive bacteria, fungi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final identification result in <strong>3\u20135 hours<\/strong> for bacteria and <strong>4\u201312 hours<\/strong> for fungi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From <strong>18 to 30 drugs per panel<\/strong>: first-line, second-line, alternative, and reserve drugs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The BD Phoenix system is capable of confirming the presence of <strong>ESBL<\/strong> (Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase) in panels for Gram-negative bacteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Differentiated reactions of third-generation cephalosporins in the presence and absence of clavulanic acid, which is a beta-lactamase inhibitor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detection of <em>E. coli<\/em>, <em>K. pneumoniae<\/em>, and <em>K. oxytoca<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtaining results on the presence of ESBL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BD Phoenix is the first automated system to include <strong>MRSA<\/strong> (Methicillin-Resistant <em>Staphylococcus aureus<\/em>) detection for cefoxitin and oxacillin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BD Phoenix possesses capabilities for detecting <strong>KPC<\/strong> producers (<em>Klebsiella pneumoniae<\/em> carbapenemase) in <em>Enterobacteriaceae<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The BD Phoenix system shows the best results in detecting the <strong>iMLSb<\/strong> phenotype (inducible resistance to Macrolide\u2013Lincosamide\u2013Streptogramin B) in streptococci and staphylococci (these 3 antibiotic groups are included in all panels for Gram-positive bacteria).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other resistance markers detected by the BD Phoenix system:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HLAR<\/strong>: High-Level Aminoglycoside Resistance in <em>Enterococcus<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double beta-lactamase test (with nitrocefin and by penicillinase production) for <em>Staphylococcus spp.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VRSA<\/strong>: Vancomycin-resistant <em>Staphylococcus aureus<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VRE<\/strong>: Vancomycin-resistant <em>Enterococcus<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BD Phoenix
