The BD MAX System can also automatically perform the amplification and detection of nucleic acid sequences for use in clinical, industrial, and laboratory settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>REVIEW<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BD MAX Molecular Detection System fully automates cell lysis, nucleic acid extraction, PCR setup, amplification, and target detection from multiple sample types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Functionality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Processing and analysis of up to 24 samples in one test (up to 48 samples in &#8220;PCR Only&#8221; testing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Individual barcodes for each BD MAX Sample Buffer Tube (SBT) are processed by an external barcode reader and matched by the built-in barcode reader to the system&#8217;s worklist, ensuring traceability during extraction and PCR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Real-time PCR with microfluidic PCR readers with 24 queues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Special multicolor optical system: 475\/520, 530\/565, 585\/630, 680\/715.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Perform in vitro assays that contain all the reagents needed for extraction, purification, amplification and determination of a specific target analyte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Ability to use user-defined protocols for extraction and purification of nucleic acids, PCR amplification and detection; extraction and purification of nucleic acids followed by PCR amplification and target detection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BD MAX system contains all the hardware and software needed to perform and control operations, as well as calculate, communicate and store results. The system consists of a liquid processing head mounted on an automatic gantry and associated units that enable the extraction and purification of nucleic acids from various types of samples. The system also performs real-time amplification and detection using microfluidic technology to detect nucleic acid sequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 The heating element module provides the thermal energy needed to activate the various microfluidic components in the disposable PCR microfluidic cartridges and thermal cycling for PCR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Temperature sensors allow real-time monitoring of heating elements using a feedback mechanism and control the temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Fluorescence detection &#8211; a fluorescence detection system based on the use of LEDs and photodiodes with appropriate focusing and filtering components, designed to monitor fluorescence in biochemical reactions with the ability to detect various colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Software &#8211; a user interface that allows you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Define 24 unique thermal cycling channels per system (2 built-in readers);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter sample information (manually or with an external barcode reader);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monitor operations, transmission and storage of data;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, as well as analysis of the melting sample;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Receive error notifications;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Print results and save them to a USB drive;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Establish a LIS connection;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work with a Windows-based user interface with the ability to use a touch screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BD MAX system consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; instrument,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; peripheral devices,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; reagents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DEVICE CAPABILITIES:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Independent extraction and purification of nucleic acids<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; PCR amplification using thermal cycling in 24 cartridge queues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Determination of amplification products in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Identification of each Sample Buffer Tube using an external barcode reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Checking the worklist with the internal barcode reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Fluorescence detection up to 5 wavelengths, allowing reactions to be combined using cycle threshold (Ct) or melting analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Qualitative and quantitative analysis, as well as sample melting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PERIPHERAL DEVICES:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BD MAX System includes the following peripherals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Keyboard, mouse, hand-held barcode scanner;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; A printer;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Stand for samples (4) and (2);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Uninterruptable power source<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BD MAX automatic analyzer for in vitro diagnostics of infectious diseases by polymerase chain reaction \u2014 LifeMed Holding PURPOSE Used in conjunction with the appropriate extraction kits and reagents, the BD MAX System is capable of automated extraction and purification of nucleic acids from a variety of sample types.
